Dawn & Iain Page
When Dawn and Iain were arranging their wedding a few years ago, they contacted Wendy to ask for some bespoke wedding invitations. They had decided to get married at New Place, in Hampshire; a beautiful Grade I listed manor house, set in 32 acres of parkland which has been converted into a hotel.
Although the venue itself has an old English country charm, the hotel bedrooms are decorated in a modern style. With this in mind, the happy couple were after a design that wasn’t too traditional, but that would capture the eyes of their guests when they first opened their wedding invitation.
After an in depth discussion to establish what Dawn and Iain wanted and liked, it was suggested that the flowers from the bridal bouquet were somehow incorporated into the invitation design; Dawn had chosen to have a bouquet made of pink English roses, calla lilies and Scottish thistles (a tribute to her family heritage).
Dawn and Iain were provided with three design concepts to choose from. After much deliberation and some minor tweaks, they chose their final invitation, and loved it so much that they asked Wendy to use the same theme to design name cards and a table plan for their big day!
