Unique Car Racing Themed Wedding Stationery

Today I am introducing you to the lovely Mr & Mrs Lever.  Simon and Louise came to WBD Designer Wedding Stationery with an unusual theme for their wedding stationery – Le Mans 24 Hours Car Racing!  Whilst it may not be to everyone’s taste, it is a passion that they share and they wanted it to be one of the main focus’s of their wedding day.

Their wedding reception was taking place at the lovely country venue Dodford Manor.  Louise had already chosen to have cream and yellow flowers and as such wasn’t entirely sure how this colour scheme would tie in with their unique car racing wedding theme.  The only thing that they were both sure about was that the seating plan for their wedding needed to be based around the Le Mans 24 Hours racing circuit.

Car Racing Inspired Wedding Invitation, Order of Service & Menu

The wedding invitations were of an action shot of Aston Martins racing around the Le Mans track just in front of the iconic Dunlop bridge.  We incorporated yellow into the banner in order to tie the wedding stationery in with the flowers.  This theme was then continued with the Order of Service and the Menus.

Le Mans 24 Hours Racing Circuit Inspired Wedding Seating Plan

As the happy couple have visited the Le Mans 24 Hours circuit on a few occasions, they decided to name their tables after various points of interest around the racing track.

Wedding guest place cards attached to wine glasses with mini clothes pegs

Louise chose to have flat name place cards (the same size as business cards) which were attached to guests’ wine glasses with mini clothes pegs.

“I wanted to point out what a great idea the business card name tags were. Hopefully you can see from the photos but basically everyone clipped them to themselves and so they were like name badges. it was hysterical (especially as Simon had ‘John Godfrey’ on for most of the photos!!!) ” – Louise Lever

Looking at these photos and from everything Louise has said, this gorgeous couple had a wonderful wedding day with so much fun and laughter.  Congratulations to you both!
