Hi I’m Wendy; creator and owner of Wendy Bell Designs!

So…you want to know a little bit about me?

I was born to be a designer!  I can not imagine living in a world where I wasn’t doing something creative every day of my life.  For me, design is everything; I live and breathe it.  Whilst I didn’t necessarily know exactly which area of design I wanted to be in, I knew from a very early age that I had to do something artistic otherwise I wouldn’t feel content.  I’m a perfectionist; whilst this isn’t great for my own sanity, it is fantastic where clients are concerned, as it means they always get the best from me.  I will never send anything out that I don’t believe is up to scratch.  If I’m not happy with it, why should I expect them to be?  If it’s not right, it’s just not finished.

I have a B.A. Hons in Printed Textile Design and have worked in a variety of fields including greeting card design and ladies fashion accessories design…it’s amazing how many people think that designing handbags is every woman’s dream job; personally, I’m more of a “shoe” woman!  However, in my opinion, nothing compares to what I’m doing now.  I love working for myself and find it incredibly rewarding to make someone’s wedding day special with the stationery that they love.  This is my thrill, and this is what gives me drive.  As for what inspires me…well, almost everything has the potential if you’re looking at it in the right way!  Mostly though, I draw inspiration from nature, art and iconic fashion eras.
