Created after a memorable summer holiday in Corfu, Summer Sun captures the feeling of those magical moments just before sunset, when the air is warm, the sea breeze carries the scent of salt, and the sky slowly shifts from soft blue to glowing shades of pink, coral and gold.
Working intuitively and without expectation, I approached this piece much like a sketchbook, allowing colour, movement and experimentation to guide the process. Layers of alcohol inks, acrylic paint, acrylic spray paints and UV resin combine to create a sense of lightness and spontaneity, while subtle textures add depth and intrigue. Rather than focusing on a destination, this artwork celebrates the pleasure of simply creating, exploring and enjoying the journey.
Filled with sun-soaked colour and joyful energy, this original artwork brings a sense of warmth, optimism and effortless summer living to any space.
